Soft Pretzels

Ingredients


Directions:
Combine yeast and brown sugar in a large bowl. Gradually add 3/4c of water, stirring to disolve the yeast. Let rest 4 mins.

Stir in flour, blending well.

Knead dough until smooth and elastic 5-10 minutes.

Pinch or slice off enough dough to form 1 1/2 inch ball. on lightly floured surface, roll ball into a rope and then twist into pretzel shape.

Boil 4 cups of water with 1 1/2T of Baking soda. Place pretzels into pot and boil until they float to the top, about 1 minute.

Place boiled pretzels on a greased baking sheet, sprinking coarse salt if desired. Bake at 475o for 8 minutes.
